FOOTBALL

K.C.A.C. Player-of-the-Week, OFFENSE: Corey Schultz, OTTAWA UNIVERSITY (KS), 6-3, 177, Senior, Wide-receiver, Quenemo, KS. In a 42-10 win at home vs. Kansas Wesleyan University, he had 8 receptions for 221 yards and 2 TDs. Ottawa records now are 8-0 overall and 7-0 KCAC Conference, while KWU fell to 4-4 overall and 3-4 KCAC Conference. l NOTES: Schultz' 221 yards this week put him over 1,000 yard mark for the season so far, making him just the third OU Brave receiver to reach the 1,000 yard record in school history.

K.C.A.C. Player-of-the-Week, DEFENSE: Josh Plummer, SOUTHWESTERN COLLEGE (KS), 6-2, 220, Sophomore, Linebacker, Lake Havasau, AZ. In a 21-20 win at home versus Bethel College, he had 7 total-tackles (2 solo) including 2.0 tackles-for-loss (-5 yards loss), plus 0.5 sack and 1 interception. Plummer scored the go-ahead touchdown on a 49 yard fumble recovery and the TD. Southwestern records now are 2-6 overall and 2-5 KCAC Conference, while Bethel fell to 2-6 overall and 2-5 KCAC Conference.

K.C.A.C. Player-of-the-Week, SPECIAL TEAMS: Matt Tria, SOUTHWESTERN COLLEGE, 6-1, 190, Freshman, Punter, Sapulpa, OK. In a 21-20 win at home versus Bethel College, he had 10 punts for 402 yards (long 55 yards). Southwestern records now are 2-6 overall and 2-5 KCAC Conference, while Bethel fell to 2-6 overall and 2-5 KCAC Conference. l NOTES: He was a key factor in the Southwestern win, due to his consistent kicking of over 40 yards per punt, which helped SWC win the field position battle most of the day.

Guizar currently is ranked No.1 in the NAIA in total goals (26), points (58), and is second in the NAIA in points per game (3.41), third in goals per game (1.530), and eighth in game-winning goals with 5. At KWU he needs six more goals to break the KWU single season goal record.
